10.000 uur is de tijd die je nodig hebt voordat je ergens in excelleert. Wanneer je kijkt naar mensen die succesvol zijn in de sport, techniek of in de zakenwereld dan is er steeds één getal wat er uitspringt: 10.000 uur. Dit getal is het onderwerp van deze PMI Young Professionals Meeting.

John Hermarij gaat daar in op de weg die je kunt bewandelen om werkelijk uit te blinken in projectmanagement. 10.000 uur bewust trainen en oefenen in alle aspecten die projectmanagement rijk is. Hij beantwoordt de vragen hoe je daar de motivatie voor opbrengt, hoe je daar succesvol in kunt zijn en hoe je zelf een onderscheid kunt maken.

Gedurende twee uur luister je naar een stimulerende visie op professionalisering van projectmanagement enerzijds en ontdek je zelf in een workshopachtige werkvorm wat dit persoonlijk voor jou en je collega’s kan betekenen. 10.000 uur is een krachtiger instrument om projecten succesvol te maken dan welke methode dan ook.

John Hermarij is al jarenlang een bekende op bijeenkomsten van PMI en IPMA, hij heeft ervaring met projectmanagement sinds 1980, in verschillende rollen van projectleider tot manager van projectmanagers en sinds 2000 als projectmanagementtrainer in Europa, Afrika en het Arabisch Schiereiland.

PMI Netherlands Chapter volunteers will earn PDUs for their activities.

As you can imagine with any volunteer organization, the PMI NL Chapter cannot achieve its objectives without the active participation of its members in executing certain projects and activities. They do the work voluntarily, but as token of appreciation they will earn PDUs for it.

Volunteers can claim PDUs in category E, as follows:

• PDU rule: 1 PDU is awarded for 1 hour of volunteer (non-service. To claim PDUs for service as an elected officer or appointed committee member, you must serve in the role for a minimum of three months. The number of volunteer hours must be input when claiming the PDUs.
• Maximum: The PDUs claimed in this category count against the maximum45 PDUs (or, 20 PDUs for PMI-RMP and PMI-SP) allowed for "Giving Back to the Profession" categories (Categories D, E, and F) per 3-year cycle.
• Documentation required upon PMI audit/request: If volunteer services: letter or certificate from the organization served acknowledging youleading project tasks or participating as part of a project team. If coaching or mentoring services: evidence supporting your coaching or mentoring arrangement, including notes from and dates of discussion or reading. This is part of the annual PDU overview that all our member PMPs will receive at the beginning of a new year.
