2010-11-12 Short Track Work Breakdown Structure & Scheduling

Cancelled due to a lack of interest.

As in previous years PMI Netherlands Chapter, in co-operation with our Sponsor Dhirata organises, 4 Short Tracks related to PMI Standards.

The third Short Track this year will be organised on Friday November 12th, 2010 in Amsterdam at the office of Enabling Resources Consultancy (Barentszplein 4F).

This Short Track will be related to the PMI Standard Work Breakdown Structure & Scheduling and will cover the following topics :

  • Preparing a WBS for project control
  • Estimate duration
  • Preparing a schedule
  • Calculate the critical path
  • Determine uncertainties in the schedule
  • Estimate the likelihood of deadlines

The training, or workshop if you want, works with actual projects brought in by some of the attendees. Problems will be addressed as we go on.

The complete Short Track program for this year is :

  • June 21st           Standard Portfolio Management
  • October 7th       Standard Program Management
  • November 12th  Standard Work Breakdown Structure & Scheduling
  • December 10th   Standard Earned Value Management

The costs associated with each of  these Short Tracks is  € 300 (excluding VAT of 19%).

Members of  PMI Netherlands Chapter and IPMA will get a discount of € 50 and will pay only € 250 (excluding VAT of 19%).

Please note : Parking in the area of the Enabling office is € 4 per hour (chipknip or coins). There is parking space at the corner of Diemenstraat/Tasmanstraat/Houtmankade.

An alternative is to park for free in Amsterdam-Noord and then take the ferry (Houthavenveer) across the IJ to the corner of Tasmanstraat/van Diemenstraat. From there it is a 3 minute walk to the Enabling Office.
